Montgomery, Alabama
PWBA was selected as project architect for Questplex, a global education and discovery center, after submitting the winning entry in a city-wide competition. Combining visual elements drawn from the surrounding area, the firm designed a new facade for a 1970s-era office building to better reflect the historic charm of downtown Montgomery, while providing for the successful re-purposing of an extensive property. With a total budget of over $22 million and over 160,000 square feet of space, the project will encompass the Juliette Hampton Morgan Memorial Library as well as The Children’s Museum of Alabama, and is intended as a key component of the continuing downtown revitalization.
