With a staff of 14, PWBA provides a full range of architectural services, interior design, space planning, master planning, and construction contract administration. As a corporate member of the U.S. Green Building Council and with LEED AP expertise on staff, PWBA can help clients achieve energy conservation goals and implement sustainable design measures.

PWBA has significant experience designing corporate headquarters, office buildings, K-12 and college/university facilities, churches, training facilities, and specialized industrial facilities. PWBA has extensive mission-critical telecommunications experience involving data centers and central switching offices, as well as space planning experience with call centers, administrative and conference areas.

Most of our work is for clients with whom we have a long-term relationship spanning many years. We consider this the most reliable indication that we consistently meet their planning, budgeting, and design needs. Some of these clients include the State of Alabama, AT&T Corporation, Alabama Power Company, Lockheed Martin Corporation, the Armory Commission of Alabama, and the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES).

History

PWBA and its predecessor firms have been providing architectural services for eight decades. Our current firm traces its origin back to 1940 when Clyde C. Pearson, FAIA opened an architectural practice in Montgomery. He and subsequent partners designed many houses, churches and other facilities still in use. Over the years several ownership transitions and firm name changes resulted in our current name, PWBA Architects, Inc. Each of our current principals has been with the firm for over 25 years. In addition to our main office in Montgomery, PWBA has had an office in the Birmingham area since 1994.
