For more than seven decades, PWBA Architects has designed spaces that stand the test of time. Founded in Montgomery, Alabama, in 1940 by Clyde C. Pearson, FAIA, the firm changed its name in 1989 to Parsons Wible Brummal Alkire/Architects, Inc.—reflecting its leadership by architects Gene Parsons, AIA; Bill Wible, AIA, LEED AP; Edward Brummal, AIA, CSI, CCS and Alex Alkire, AIA, CSI, CCS, LEED AP.

In 1994, the firm established a branch office in Birmingham, led by Johnny Latham AIA, LEED AP. Upon the retirement of Parsons in 2010, the firm adopted its current name, PWBA Architects, Inc.
