Lockheed Martin – Long-Range Strike Systems – Cruise Missile Annex

Pike County, Alabama

Beginning in 1991, PWBA designed the original buildings, as well as all subsequent buildings at this 4,000-acre industrial facility in Pike County, Alabama. Expanded to meet increased demand for Lockheed Martin’s cruise missiles, the project is expected to increase employment 10 percent in the next several years, above and beyond the current estimated labor force of 300 full-time workers and over 100 contractors employed by the facility. Completion is scheduled for early 2015. Lockheed Martin’s Pike County facilities have received IndustryWeek magazine’s “Best Plant” award and the Alabama Performance Excellence Award.
