This building was designed to accommodate both a state agency and a university teaching program.  The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences uses its space for Laboratories, Evidence Processing, Evidence Storage, Offices, and an indoor Firing Range.  Labs and Evidence Processing areas were designed for DNA, Toxin, Chemical, Biological, and Firearms testing and analysis.  Spaces involving critical processing and analysis of evidence have conditioned air and emergency power available 24/7.  ASU's Department of Criminal Justice includes Staff Offices, Classrooms and Teaching Laboratories designed for state-of-the-art digital presentation technology.
